Users & Guests
2 users aren’t currently associated with an Azure Active Directory (AAD) account on this tenant. We will attempt to associate these users with an existing AAD account on this tenant. Any users who we can’t associate with an existing AAD account will be removed from this network. Private messages on which they are the only active recipient will be deleted from this network and not available for data export. All new users will be required to be a user in AAD for this tenant.
0 network guests will be removed from this network. Private messages on which they are the only active recipient will be deleted from this network and not available for data export. New guests can no longer be added to this network.
Any conversations that include external participants will no longer allow those external participants to access those conversations. External participants won’t be allowed to participate in any conversations in your home network.
All private messages that do not have any active users in this network will be deleted and no longer discoverable through search or data export, irrespective of this network’s data retention setting.
Groups
“All Company” group will be made an Microsoft 365 connected group with the Verified Admins of this network as group owners.
3 groups that are unlisted in search results and the global address list will become listed but will remain private. Users won’t be able to create new unlisted groups.
1 external group will be converted to be internal only and its external users will be removed. Internal users won’t be able to create new external groups.
Groups that don’t have an owner with Microsoft 365 Group creation rights will have the owner set to name@domain.com so that these groups can be connected. Users without Microsoft 365 Group creation rights won’t be able to create groups in Yammer.
4 unconnected groups will become Microsoft 365 connected. Microsoft 365 Group naming policies will be bypassed when existing Yammer groups become Microsoft 365 connected.
All connected groups will have their membership and group data synced with AAD.
All conversations (and files that have not yet been moved into SharePoint) from previously deleted groups will be deleted and no longer discoverable through search, data export, or Security & Compliance Center’s eDiscovery capability, irrespective of this network’s data retention setting. Microsoft 365 connected groups that are eligible for restoration when the tool is run will remain restorable for the duration of the restoration period. However if they are restored during this time they will be restored without any of their Yammer conversations or files stored in Yammer. Files stored in SharePoint for restorable groups will remain in SharePoint and will follow SharePoint data retention policies.
Files
1 file uploaded to private messages in Yammer will be deleted and no longer accessible or recoverable. New files cannot be uploaded in private messages in Yammer.
4 files from 11 groups will be migrated to the SharePoint document library for the respective Microsoft 365 connected group. Only the latest version of each file will be migrated; prior versions will no longer be accessible or recoverable. Prior file versions will be included with the network export you should perform before running this tool.
Network Configuration Changes
This network’s Data Retention policy will be set to be Archive, which is required for eDiscovery, when you start running this tool.
Eligible network content will begin to be discoverable through the Security & Compliance Center’s eDiscovery capability after all the above tasks are complete.
This network will be fully aligned to Native Mode for Microsoft 365 after all content has become available in the Security & Compliance Center.

I understand the actions I’m instructing Microsoft to take and the actions my company must perform for Microsoft to align this Yammer Enterprise network for Native Mode for Microsoft 365. • Block external users from accessing your home network via individual conversations, external groups, or other guest functionality. External Networks will continue to be supported.
  • Change all unlisted private groups to be private listed groups.
  • Connect all unconnected groups. You will be made the group admin in all unconnected groups that do not have an owner with Microsoft 365 Group creation rights.
  • Move all group files to the SharePoint document library for the respective Microsoft 365 Group.
  • Block new file uploads in Yammer private messages and delete all files previously uploaded in Yammer private messages.
  • Delete all messages and associated files from previously deleted groups (including Microsoft 365 groups that are still restorable), as well as delete all private messages that do not have any active users in the network.
  • Configure this network’s data retention policy to Archive and begin the process of making eligible Yammer content discoverable through the Security & Compliance Center’s eDiscovery capability.
